Srishti Mittal

Srishti has been trained in various styles of dance including Bollywood, Bhangra, Kathak, and Indian contemporary. She started dancing at Shiamak Davar’s Academy at the age of 2 where she danced until she graduated Middle School. She then moved to the USA where she was apart of a dance company that performed at various different venues and competitions. Once she graduated High School she moved back to India where she attended college. She auditioned and made the college team where she competed group and couples dances against several different colleges. Her dances won countless awards and recognitions.

Srishti has been teaching dance to children and adults since she was a junior in high school. She has also participated in many opportunities where she was invited to judge dance competitions. Her students have won many awards and have had the opportunity to audition on the hit TV show “Dance India Dance”. She has a love for dance and wishes to share her passion, knowledge, and experience with others

Jeremy

Jeremy Cline grew up in Bar Harbor, Maine and graduated from Middlebury College in 2011. His movement studies have included modern, ballet, contemporary, contact improvisation, breaking, capoeira, circus arts, yoga, and the Feldenkrais Method. Jeremy currently lives in Seattle where he has performed with Spectrum Dance Theater, Khambatta Dance Company, Ballet Bellevue, International Ballet Theater, The 5th Ave Theater, the International Capoeira Angola Foundation, Just Us Crew, and his own company, Tessellations Dance Project. Jeremy also works as a visual artist, a musician, and a teaching artist.

Leo

Leo has received a bulk of his dance training from Spectrum Dance Theatre's Academy and International Ballet Academy. Trained primarily in the French Method and Vaganova Technique - as well as tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern - Leo is excited to pass on the tradition of ballet to the next generation of movers. Leo has performed with Spectrum Dance Theatre, The 5th Avenue Theatre, International Ballet Theatre, Bainbridge Dance Center, Seattle Theatre Group, and the Seattle International Dance Festival. He has choreographed at Bates Dance Festival.

Stephanie Merrow

Stephanie Lynn Merrow discovered she loved teaching at 19, when she started teaching preschool. While getting her Master’s degree in Theatre Arts (Acting and Dance emphases) she found a passion for physicality. Loving to learn as much as to teach, she assisted the Clowning and Stage Combat teachers and could be sighted working tech jobs, actually hanging from the rafters or light grids. Her Mom says she figured out how to flip out of her crib at 1…literally. These days Stephanie teaches Acting and Dance at Cornish College of the Arts, Backstage Dance Studio and Sno Springs School. She also teaches Acrobatics and “Cirque-it” (aerial arts) at Backstage. Her aging body and curious spirit begged for Yoga as her heart and mind refused to slow down and in 2013 she added a 200hr RYT to her long list of certifications. Now she teaches Yoga at Si View Community Center and IGNITE! Dance and Yoga in her hometown of North Bend, WA.

Eury Rivera

Eury Rivera is a dance teacher and choreographer, she has loved dance from the time she learned to walk, so her mom signed her up for dance classes when she was 4 years old, her passion for dance has encouraged her to take trainings in different dance forms like Pom, Polynesian, Jazz, Lyrical and RG among others in the USA, Mexico and Canada where she has also choreographed for recreational and competition teams. She has a master degree in psychology and loves helping children learn and develop their talents while having fun.

Jinal Trivedi

Jinal Trivedi is born and raised in India and moved to United States in 2009. She has started learning dancing at the age of 6. She has learned and performed various forms of dance styles including bhartnatyam, bollywood and bhangara. Since she is originally from Gujarat, her favorite dance style is “Garba/Dandiya”. She has been staying in Seattle area from past 7 years. She has worked in Kumon for 5 years, where she taught math and reading to kids between the ages of 5 and 13. Currently she is working as a scientist for a biotech company. She is energetic and confident dance teacher who is interested to improve student’s confidence and understanding of dance.”

Simran

As the saying goes “There is a shortcut to Happiness, for me DANCE is my shortcut to Happiness”. I consider dance as a meditation which fulfills the need of my soul. I am proficient in Contemporary, Bhangra, Semi-Classical and Bollywood dance forms. I was born and raised in India and started dancing since the age of five. My passion for dance has grown with my age. I have choreographed and participated in many dance competitions during my schooling and graduation. In 2016, I collaborated with NGO “Pratidhwani” where I showcased my dance talent in a Bollywood show “Ajab Bollywood ki Ghajab Kahani” where I participated in three dance shows. I would love to keep dancing an integral passion of my life and looking forward to take a Chance to Dance.

Jiya Joshi

Jiya Joshi is from Mumbai, India and a professionally trained Bharatnatyam (Classical) dancer. The technique and discipline provided a solid foundation to her dance training. She has been dancing and performing from the age of 3.

Her diversity in dance expands from Indian semi classical to modern Bollywood dancing. She gained experience choreographing dances and acquired recognition from teachers, students, friends, and family.

Aside from dance, Jiya loves playing all kinds of sports, Traveling and spending time with family. Academically, she has a MBA from City University in Seattle and currently works as an Office Administrator in Montessori School.

Jagruti Khobragade

I am a classical Bhratnatyam dancer and have a passion for dancing and choreography. I learnt Bharatnatyam in my childhood and participated in various schools & college annual functions.

I moved to Seattle in 2009 and continued my passion for dancing and choreography. Here I got exposed to different dance styles including Western and Bollywood. I volunteer with various dance groups and have performed with groups like Pratidhwani, Dreams-PCPIA, Surya Teja, Indus & Mudra. Apart from these groups I have also performed in Bhartiyam, KAW & Anand Mela. I also received best choreography in 2013 Hai Dum show.

Shilpa

I am very passionate about dancing and have been a dancer since childhood. I dance and teach different dance styles like semi classical ,folk, Western, Bollywood, Tollywood. I am a classical dancer trained in Perini Natyam. Perini is a temple dance form. I was a RJ in All India Radio (AIR-Hyderabad) along with being a dance instructor. I moved to Seattle in 2012 and continued my passion for dance. I voluntarily made kids perform every year in heritage festival such as Anand Mela. I was one of the participant in dance competition, “Naach Meri Jaan”

Chandrayee Bhattacharyya

Chandrayee Bhattacharyya is one of the accomplished kathak dancers from the “Lucknow Gharana”. She has been trained under Guru Parimal Krishna and Marajji. She also came across some pioneer gurus & had training under them such as Kumudidni Lakhia, Malabika Sen, Saswati Sen, Prenara Shrimala etc. She also have professional traing in europian street dance, tap & Ballet.

Since she was 5 years old, she is into dance. She obtained the degree from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad and diploma in theterical art. Chandrayee’s passion for dance slowly led her into experiment classical Kathak with different kind of international dance forms and styles. She started her workshop collaboration with different western style of dance long back , now that’s consider as a main stream of performing arts.

She was one of the talented performer and gold medalist in Dover lane music festival, Calcutta. She is teaching in Seattle for last 16 years now, before that she used to teach Kathak in UK. Chandrayee teaches classical Kathak and experimental fusion style of dances which is a mixture of Spanish, Tap, Jazz, Salsa, African Folk and Broadway style

She and her students have been performing in various dance festivals & prestigious stages from 2001 to till now. Nrityangan kathak is where all students get pure kathak lesson along with knowledge of kathak terminology & training under strict classical syllabus of Lucknow Gharana.

Sugun Ratti

I am a trained dancer from India. I started dancing at the age of 6. I performed kathak and folk and was further trained to do Bollywood hip hop at workshops held by Shamak Davar’s team at Delhi Public School, where I studied until 6th grade. I was then sent to Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. A boarding school in Rajasthan, were I was trained to do contemporary, classical, semi classical and various forms of folk dances under Mr. Sumeet Nagdev and Mr. Manoj Bagga. I also keep a major interest in Hindustani music (vocal). I won many prizes throughout the years and was in charge to teach the junior kids, in my senior year at school. I moved here after graduating my high school for further studies and I am still practicing my dance with all the passion.

Riddhi

Riddhi is from Mumbai, India. She moved to US in 2016. She has trained for years in classical dancing (Bharatnatyam, Kathak), contemporary, bollywood, hiphop and has been a Shiamak Davar’s student for a couple of years. Riddhi is also a certifed Zumba Instructor since the past 3 years. Riddhi is not only passionate about dancing but also passionate about teaching the dance forms. Academically, she holds an MBA from University of Mumbai, and is currently working in a bank as an Analyst.
